Cleaning or Double Cleaning?

What is Double Cleansing?

Double cleansing is a two-step routine that uses two separate cleansers to wash and cleanse your skin. To double cleanse, start by applying a makeup remover or oil to remove makeup, sunscreen, and anything else that has built up on your face during the day. After rinsing that off, move on to your regular cleanser. Applying this second cleanser to your now-clean face allows you to focus on cleaning out your pores rather than removing the first layer of makeup.

Why Double Cleanse?

  1. For glowing skin:

    • Deep cleansing helps revitalize skin, leaving it bright and radiant. Make sure your cleansers contain nourishing vitamins to achieve a radiant complexion.
  2. To remove impurities:

    • Double cleansing helps leave your skin as clean as possible, removing any residue that could clog pores after just one cleanse. This is especially helpful if you wear a lot of makeup.
  3. To prevent acne:

    • Using two gentle cleansers in a row helps prevent breakouts and impurities like blackheads. By removing dead skin cells, excess oil, and dirt, the skin is less likely to develop acne problems.

How to choose the right products for Double Cleansing?

Consult your dermatologist for specific recommendations, but in general, choose pH-neutral, soap-free cleansers that contain beneficial ingredients like antioxidants, mild acids, or essential oils—such as MONO Skincare Ultra-Gentle Makeup Remover and Facial Cleanser.

How to Double Cleanse with MONO Skincare :

  1. Apply MONO Makeup Remover:

    • Use 2-3 pumps of MONO Makeup Remover on a reusable cotton pad. Clean off makeup, sunscreen and eye makeup. Use circular motions with your hands or a washcloth.
  2. Rinse the Makeup Remover:

    • Use facial cleanser or warm water to rinse off the makeup remover. Use a washcloth to remove any remaining makeup.
  3. Use MONO Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser:

    • Apply MONO Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. Massage in the same way as makeup remover, possibly using a clean washcloth.
  4. Rinse off the Facial Cleanser:

    • Remove the second cleanser with water or facial cleanser. This step completes the double cleansing process.
